The first two Green Bay hitters reached base safely and Joe Betcher (Illinois-Chicago) drove home Troy Scott (Washington) on a single, putting the Frogs down 5-1. After a strike out to Jim Pipolo, (St. Xavier) the Bullfrogs tried to pull off a double steal but Joel Hutter (Dallas Baptist) was thrown out at third. The threat ended when Mike Furlong (Central College) flew out to center.

The Express added one run in the top of the eighth inning when Will Fadness hit a solo homerun to left center. Eau Claire continued to add insurance runs in the top of the ninth inning. The Express put five runs on the board on four hits, putting their lead to 11-1.

Green Bay did not threaten in the bottom of the ninth and they fell to the Express, 11-1. Joel Delorit took the loss for the Bullfrogs. He went three innings, allowing five runs, three earned, on five hits. The Bullfrogs were lead at the plate by Joel Hutter and Troy Scott who had two hits apiece.
